Å fange tidsånd: En neoformalistisk analyse av Cold War

Abstract

Bacheloroppgaven tar for seg en neoformalistisk analyse av Cold War. Den vil i hovedsak vektlegge verkene til Kristin Thompson og David Bordwell, samtidig som den trekker inn referanser til relevant teori og kritikk. Gjennom den utvalgte tilnærmingen vil oppgaven fokusere på de tre hovedelementene som utgjør neoformalisme: Fremmedgjøring gjennom narrativ og stil, den historiske og kulturelle konteksten, og den aktive tilskueren.

The bachelor thesis deals with a neo-formalist analysis of Cold War. It will mainly emphasize the works of Kristin Thompson and David Bordwell, while at the same time including references to relevant theory and critique. Through the selected approach, the thesis will focus on the three main elements that make up neo-formalism: Defamiliarization through narrative and style, the historical and cultural context, and the active spectator.
