| dc.description.abstract | Denne bachelorppgaven undersøker utlån av kunst fra Trondheim kunstmuseums kunstsamling og deres samarbeid med Britannia Hotel fra 2019 frem til i dag. Videre sammenlignes samarbeidet og museumspraksisen med prosedyrene i Spectrum 5.0. «Britannia-prosjektet» byr på etiske konflikter, utfordringer og muligheter. Da samarbeidet ble inngått i 2019 ble det utført et ordskifte, og det ble stilt en rekke spørsmål tilknyttet museumssamlingens verdi og betydning når den går fra det offentlige til det private.
Spectrum 5.0 er et ideal og et fremtidsmål hos Trondheim kunstmuseum. Standarden er ifølge samlingsforvalterne ved museet en «i-beste-tilfelle-virkelighet». Standarden er ikke implementert i museet, men likevel følger museets diskusjoner de samme linjene som hos standarden. Oppgaven bruker kvalitativ metode i form av intervju, og det er samlingsforvalterne ved Trondheim kunstmuseum som er primærkildene. Oppgaven konkluderer med at samarbeidet kanskje ikke har gått helt som planlagt. En av grunnene til det er at Britannia Hotel ikke innfridde sitt krav om luftfuktighet, slik at verkene ble skadet. En annen grunn er at gjester utenfor hotellet ikke fikk tilgang til verkene, slik de egentlig skulle. Når det gjelder Spectrum 5.0 er ikke standarden implementert, likevel er det museumsfaglige og etiske retningslinjer som blir fulgt. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This bachelor thesis examines the loan of art from the art collection of Trondheim Art Museums, and their collaboration with Britannia Hotel from 2019 until today. Furthermore, the collaboration and museum practice are compared with the procedures in Spectrum 5.0. The «Britannia-project» offers ethical conflicts, challenges and opportunities. When the collaboration was introduced in 2019, a change of words was carried out, and a number of questions was asked related to the museum collection’s value and significance when it goes from the public to the private.
Spectrum 5.0 is an ideal and a future goal at the Trondheim Art Museum. According to the collection managers at the museum, the standard is an «in-best-case-reality». The standard is not implemented in the museum, but still the museum’s discussions follow the same lines as with the standard. The thesis uses a qualitative method in the form of an interview, and it is the collection managers at the Trondheim Art Museum who are the primary sources. The thesis concludes that the collaboration may not have gone exactly as planned. One of the reasons for this is that Britannia Hotel did not meet its humidity requirements, so that the graphics works were damaged. Another reason is that guests outside the hotel did not have access to the graphics, as they were supposed to. With regard to Spectrum 5.0, the standard has not been implemented, yet museum and ethical guidelines are being followed. | |
