Formidling i Mikaelskapellet Et blikk på formidling, utfordringer og muligheter.

Abstract

Formålet med denne oppgaven er å utforske hvilken historisk status og betydning Mikaelskapellet har i Nidarosdomen, i hvilken grad og hvordan Mikaelskapellet inngår i NDRs og andre aktørers formidlingsarbeid, samt hva som kan gjøres for å styrke formidlingen av Mikaelskapellet. For å finne svar på dette har jeg tatt i bruk relevant sekundærlitteratur, gjennomført intervjuer og samtaler, og hospitert hos Publikumsavdelingen ved Nidaros Domkirkes Restaureringsarbeider. Resultatet viser at NDR, samt Solveig Birkeland og Martine Moore Edvardsen har tatt i bruk Mikaelskapellet i deres formidlingsopplegg og trosopplæringstiltak. Likevel er det potensiale for å ta i bruk kapellet i større grad i formidling. Som forslag på hva som kan gjøres for å styrke formidlingen av Mikaelskapellet, har jeg presentert to formidlingsideer som tar i bruk kapellet.

The purpose of this paper is to explore the historical status and significance of the St. Michael Chapel in Nidaros Cathedral, the extent to which and how the St. Michael Chapel is part of NDR's and other actors' dissemination work, and what can be done to strengthen the dissemination of the St. Michael Chapel. To find answers to this, I have used relevant secondary literature, conducted interviews and conversations, and visited the Audience Department at Nidaros Cathedral's Restoration Work. The results show that NDR, as well as Solveig Birkeland and Martine Moore Edvardsen, have used the St. Michael Chapel in their dissemination- and faith education measures. Nevertheless, there is potential for using the chapel to a greater extent in communication. As a suggestion of what can be done to strengthen the dissemination of the St. Michael Chapel, I have presented two dissemination ideas.
