There are several perspectives in explaining OCD. This paper has made an effort to synthesize some different opinions in the evolutionary field. There are at least three different perspectives that have been taken into account. The ability to predict future events through episodic memory, mistrusting one’s own memory and an exaggerated belief in these predictions makes it plausible to see it as more than one system being aversive. This might be some of the causation behind the disorder.nb_NO
