The digitalization of the society has revolutionized the way we communicate and interact, as well as creating significant opportunities in terms of streamlining work processes and economic growth. Despite this, several organizations must constantly resort to frequent adjustments to keep up with the external environment. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to gain greater insight into how organizational culture and leadership affect, and are influenced by, the focus many organizations must have today; maintain daily operations while managing change. Change is associated with uncertainty, and the following purpose of the task is to further investigate any key factors and prerequisites which should be present to maintain daily operations. Based on this, the following issue was formulated: How to maintain daily operations, while preparing for a change due to digitalization? How the organizational culture is perceived by employees, as well as how management deals with change processes, are regarded as important aspects in creating an understanding of how employees handle change. The theory will thus illuminate these areas and aims to create a broad understanding of the interaction between these two phenomena. To answer the research question, an intensive and qualitative approach was used, in which I examined one case unit. In-depth interviews were used as a data collection method, in which a total of four interviews were conducted. Based on the informants’ individual experiences, the study’s method has been based on trying to create a nuanced picture of the themes. The findings of the study show that an organizational culture built on loyalty and affiliation is crucial for how the members of the organization handle change. If the management ensures good communication and information, it will create a confidence to the process itself. A management style that respectively takes into account both the human factors and the ability to set clear guidelines, seems to have a lot to say for whether daily operations are maintained during change.en
