dc.description.abstractBakgrunn: For å skape en tillitsfull relasjon til et barn på sykehus må sykepleier ha kunnskap om barnets utvikling og om tilrettelegging av kommunikasjon. Kommunikasjon er essensielt for å skape en relasjon til barn med kreft. Sykepleiers rolle handler om å se barnet for mer enn kun sykdom og tilrettelegge pleien etter barnets premisser. Hensikt: Hensikten med litteraturstudien er å belyse hvordan sykepleiere kan skape en tillitsfull relasjon til et kreftsyke barn innlagt på sykehus.   Metode: Studien anvender litteraturstudie som metode. For å finne svar på problemstillingen gjennomføres systematiske søk og analysering av eksisterende vitenskapelig litteratur. Databasene som er brukt er Cinahl og Medline (Ovid). Seks vitenskapelige resultatartikler ble inkludert. Resultat: Resultatene presenteres i følgende temaer: Sykepleiers kunnskap om individuelle forskjeller hos barn, inkludering av barnet, personlige egenskaper hos sykepleier og å anvende lek. Konklusjon: Sykepleier må ha kunnskap om individuelle forskjeller blant barn. Verbal- og nonverbal kommunikasjon må være til stede for at sykepleier kan skape en relasjon med barnet. Barn observerer personlige egenskaper hos sykepleiere og det viser seg at disse har stor betydning for å skape tillit. Å anvende lek i pleien er et verktøy som bidrar til å redusere stress hos barn i deres sykdomsforløp.
dc.description.abstractBackground: To create a trusting relationship with children in a hospital a nurse must have knowledge about the child's development process and about facilitated communication. Communication is essential to create a relationship to a child with cancer. The nurse's key role is to see the child for more than just the illness and to adapt and arrange the care to the child’s premises. Purpose: The purpose of the literature study is to highlight and show how a nurse can create a trustful relationship with a child admitted to hospital with a cancer diagnosis. Method: This thesis uses a literature study as research method. To answer the research question a systematics search and analysis of existing scientific literature has been completed. The database that has been used is Cinahl and Medline (Ovid). The literature study includes 6 scientific result articles. Results: The results presents the following themes: Nurses knowledge of individual differences among children, including of children in care, personal characteristics of a nurse and using play as a part of the treatment. Conclusion: The results show that nurses must have knowledge of individual differences among children. Verbal and nonverbal communication must be present in order for the nurse to establish a relationship with the child. Children observe a nurses’ abilities and findings shows that these have great impact in creating trust. Using play as a part of the nursing is a tool that helps to reduce stress for children at hospitalization.
