Abstract

Dette er en kvalitativ, intervjubasert, oppgave som handler om et fellesskap i et båtnabolag av unge voksne i starten av arbeidslivet og studenter. Med bakgrunn i blant annet Oldenburgs teori om tredjeplasser, Tjoras fellesskapsforskning og Gullestads konsept om forestilt likhet, ser oppgaven på hvordan fysiske omgivelser og identifikasjon skaper fellesskap.

This thesis is a qualitative, interview based project. The theme is community in a neighbourhood consisting of students and young adults in the beginning of their professional lives who live in sail boats. The study uses, amongst others, Oldenburg's theory of third places, Tjora's community studies, and Gullestad's concept of imagined sameness to analyse how physical surroundings and identification creates community.
