dc.description.abstractIntroduksjon: Pårørende er viktig for den terminale pasienten og de pårørende ønsker ofte å være der for pasienten den siste fasen av livet. Denne bacheloroppgaven tar for seg pårørende og opplevelsene de hadde i denne situasjonen. Hensikten: Med studien er å fordype seg i hva pårørende til terminale pasienter har erfart i den tiden og i denne situasjonen, enten på sykehjem eller sykehus, og hva disse erfaringene kan ha å si for sykepleier i samhandling med kommende pårørende til terminale pasienter. Metode: For å svare på bacheloroppgavens problemstilling har det blitt utført en litteraturstudie. Det er benyttet eksisterende forskning i studien. Resultat: Resultatet av litteraturstudien viser fire hovedkategorier som viser hva pårørende erfarte at er viktig. Disse er: kommunikasjon med pårørende, å få være til stede/få sagt farvel sykepleiers, omsorgsfulle handlinger/miljø, og kompetanse innen terminalpleie. Konklusjon: Pårørende er avhengig av at sykepleier er til stede, gir god informasjon, viser omsorg for både pårørende og pasient, samt viser at de innehar god kompetanse på terminalpleie for at de skal føle seg ivaretatt.
dc.description.abstractShort description of the bachelor thesis: Introduction: Nest of kin is important for the terminal patient in his or hers last phase of life. This bachelor thesis will address the experience the next of kin had in this situation. Aim: This bachelor thesis will explore what the next of kin of terminal patients have experienced during this time and in this situation, while the patient was admitted to either hospital or nursing home. This bachelor thesis will also explore how these experiences can affect the way nurses interacts with the families of terminally ill patients in the future. Metode: To answer this bachelor theses research question the authors conducted a literature review study. Existing science papers where used. Result: This literature study resulted in four head subjects that show what next of kin of terminally ill patients experienced as important to feel safeguarded. they are as followed: communication skills, The nurses significant actions, to be present with the patient/ To be able to say goodbye and the nurses competence on terminal care. Konklusjon: Next of kin of the terminal patient is depended on the nurse's presence, ability to give good information, his or hers ability to show that they care and that the nurse show their competence on the area of terminal care. These are factors contributing to the families feeling of safeguarding.
