Fra tilskuer til vitne i virkelighetsteatrets rom

Abstract

I denne artikkelen undersøker jeg en forestilling som inngikk i et sosialt tiltak med unge voksne utenfor utdanning og arbeid, i regi av Ville Veier, et entreprenørskap i Stavanger. Alle scenene var bygget på deltakernes egne livserfaringer, og de stod selv på scenen som aktører. Det tematiske utgangspunktet for forestillingen var rom, og dette ble formidlet og iscenesatt gjennom ulike kunstneriske grep. Problemstillingen er å undersøke i hvilken grad de kunstpedagogiske intensjonene ble gjenspeilet og formidlet i det kunstneriske produktet. Analysen fokuserer på tre spor: skuespilleren som tegn hendelse, rom som innhold og form og relasjonen til publikum. I oppsummeringen viser jeg hvordan publikums rolle som tilskuere ble forskjøvet til vitner i tråd med denne typen sosialt virkelighetsteater.

In this article, I investigate a performance that was part of a social intervention with young adults excluded from mainstream education and workforce, produced by a social entrepreneurship in Stavanger. The scenes were based on the participants’ life experiences and they were the performers. Room was the chosen thematic point of departure for the performance making and this was conveyed and staged through multiple aesthetic means. The research question examines in which way the performance embodied and conveyed the intentions of transformative learning for the participants. The analysis focuses on three tracks: the actor, space as content and form, and the relationship to the audience. To sum up, I demonstrate how the role of the audience was displaced from spectator to witness in line with this kind of social theatre of the real.
