I dag blir all vannavlesning i Ringsaker kommune gjort manuelt av huseierene.
Today, all water readings in Ringsaker municipality are done manually by the homeowners. Teknisk drift in Ringsaker municipality are interested in automating this process, and LoRaWAN is a technology that can be used to make this possible. Because Ringsaker municipality has an uneven topography with many difficult areas, it becomes challenging to set up an optimal architecture to cover the entire municipality. Price, security, range and energy consumption are among the crucial factors that must be considered if this is to be a solution that is to be implemented. After performing several tests and evaluating the results of these, a possible architecture is presented that can satisfy Ringsaker municipality's requirements.
