Purpose The purpose of this thesis is to answer main research question, how can project, project leadership and project success be combined to one framework. The challenge is to study these three components separately and merge them together studying the minute details. Design/approach Journals, books, thesis and articles are the main sources for literature research. The three main keywords, project, leadership and project success are used to do the search. Language and the time factor has been the main issue in not following the systematic literature search. The design of this thesis writing is input-process-output system (IPO) in which project acts as input, leadership as processing unit and success as output. At the same time it is important to mention that the approach of writing this thesis is through unsystematic literature search. So this thesis does not contain method section but however the method part is described in the introduction chapter. The personal assessment is presented in conclusion chapter. Discussion - The proposed framework has implications for project leaders dealing with complex projects, construction, multicultural & IT projects and at different stage of project. It is found that different leadership styles are appropriate for different types of project and influences project success. Originality - Few attempts towards studying this similar framework are seen in literature search but however detailed study of this kind will be the new one in the field of project management. Keywords - Project, Leadership, Project successen
