This thesis regards a pretensioning procedure for a large and slender support structure planned built below a floating bridge. First and foremost, global aspects are discussed with little consideration for local phenomenons. The structure of topic relies on a large amount of dimensioning parameters not yet determined. Consequently, a parametrized version of the structure have been implemented in a scripted Abaqus model, which further is embedded in a tailor made python-code, developed to give a more efficient analysis process. Both use and functionality of the developed programme is presented. The developed tool is further used to investigate model sensitivities. The results are evaluated and described, parts qualitatively, parts quantitatively. A large variety of different model configurations are investigated and discussed.en
