A study of Drilling fluid rheology-Simulated and friction pressures losses was carried in Well SS-12, Tanzania.Three rheological models were used,Such as Bingham plastic ,power law and Herschel-Bulklely model. The rheological study in three section of a well ss-12,indicated that the fluid used existed a yield pseudo plastic behavior due to low Root mean square error (RMSE) as compared to others method. The friction pressure losses calculated using the three models were good when Herschel-Bulkley model and power law model were applied. A sensitivity study based on extrapolated yield stress,Nozzle sizes,BHA length and drill pipe inner and outer diameter had shown Herschel-Buckley model to approximate well pressure drop in well ss-12. Hence ,it was concluded that Herschel-Buckley a best fit model for drilling fluid rheology and friction pressure losses predictions.en
