Numerical wave tank is always important for studying wave-body interactions. This master thesis carried out a step by step procedure to develop a nonlinear wave tank by using HPC method. The thesis work mainly focuses on exploring new strategies that can improving the basic HPC method when developing the nonlinear wave tank. Nonlinear wave tank is finally developed and verified by solitaries in shallow water condition and Stokes 2nd order wave in deep water condition. Mesh strategies as body-fitted mesh, fixed background mesh with immersed free surface and mesh using domain decomposition is studied. Flux method is studied trying to improve the accuracy of the basic HPC method. The programme are developed in Fortran.en
