dc.description.abstract | This study explores the cultural constitution of hyperflexible hybrid subjects at a Yoga shala situated in the Indian state of Goa. Readers are invited to enter the intimate ethnographic universe where informants as well as the anthropologist's maneuvering of the small and large ethical-moral issues of everyday-life at the shala unfold. The conversation's interactive processing of controversial events, themes and personas exposes the unique communication culture that enables the formation of hyperflexible contemporary subjects. Empirical material was obtained and produced through deep participant observation in the spring of 2018. In addition to traditional ethnographic methods, the research also involved intense netnographic immersion in the yogis' Instagram life.
