Et praktisk undervisningsopplegg basert på tradisjonelt bygghåndverk for Vg-1 Bygg- og anleggsteknikk

Abstract

Sammendrag I vår oppgave har vi forsøkt å komme med forslag om hvordan et praktisk undervisningsopplegg kan bygges opp rundt tradisjonshåndverk og bygningsvern for elever på Vg-1 Bygg- og anleggsteknikk. Vi har avgrenset oppgaven til å omhandle tømrerfaget og tradisjonelle verktøy, der øksen har hovedfokus. I resultatet argumenterer vi for at bygningsvern også er relevant i dagens byggebransje som i kulturminnevernet. Dette sett i forhold til fremtidige bygningsmessige utfordringer som blant annet bygger på klimafokus og bærekraft samt et høyt antall boliger bygd før 1950. Vi har funnet at pedagogiske tanker fra den gamle sløydundervisningen og mesterlære basert på tradisjonsoverføringer godt passer inn i våre undervisningsopplegg. Disse undervisningsformene gir rom for styrt undervisning av elevene, noe som blir viktig når vi har med tradisjoner å gjøre. Gjennom arbeidsforsøk gjort med elever på Vg-1 nivå har vi gjort oss erfaringer som tilsier at elevene har behov for trening av grunnleggende motorikk, sanser og verktøybruk. Innholdet bør ha tilpasset vanskelighetsgrad og instruktører trenger å øve seg opp på et visst nivå for å kunne gi god undervisning. Basert på resultatet har vi laget forslag til et undervisningsopplegg basert på tre individuelle dags-opplegg som sammen gir en helhet innenfor tema: Materialforståelse og tradisjonell tilvirking. Vi konkluderer med at vi mener at bruk av tradisjonshåndverk i undervisningen på videregående nivå vil bidra til å gi et bedre grunnlag for videre valg innenfor tømreryrket da vi får belyst sider av tømreryrket som ikke er direkte forankret i læreplanmål.

Summary In our mission we have tried to make suggestions on how to build a practical curriculum to build around traditional craftsmanship and building protection for students of the Vg-1 building and construction technology. We have delineated the task to deal with the timber course and traditional tools, where the axe has the main focus. In The Result, we argue that the building protection also is relevant in today's building industry as in the cultural heritage. This is one in relation to future structural challenges which, among other things, builds on climate focus and sustainability as well as a high number of homes built before 1950. We have found that educational thoughts from the old gutted teaching and masterlearning based on traditional transmissions well fit into our curriculum. These teaching forms allow for guided teaching of students, which becomes important when we are dealing with traditions. Through work trials done with pupils at the Vg-1 level, we have made us experience that suggests that students need training of basic motor skills, senses and tool use. The content should have adapted to the difficulty level and instructors need to practice on a certain level in order to provide good teaching. Based on our result we have made a suggestion to a curriculum based on three individual day schemes which together provide a whole within the subject: Material understanding and traditional preparation. We conclude that we believe that the use of traditional crafts in teaching at the high school level will help to provide a better basis for further elections within the timber profession as we receive illuminated pages of the carpenter profession that are not directly rooted in curriculum goals.
