Museum og tilbakeføring av kulturarv - En kommentar til to samiske utstillinger, Bååstede og Tråante

Abstract

Hva fortelles om samisk kulturarv i utstillingene Bååstede og Tråante 2017: «Hvem eier historien?»? Hvordan kan vi tolke dem i lys av ICOMs museumsetiske regelverk? De to utstillingene handler begge om samisk kultur og historie. Jeg vil diskutere tilbakeføring av kulturarv ved bruk av konkrete eksempler fra de to utstillingene. I den sammenheng vil også ICOM bli trukket inn. Denne teksten skal ikke på noen måte være en kritikk på museum eller de to utstillingene, men målet er at den skal være et innspill fra noen som opptatt av tematikk som kulturarv og minoriteter. Teoretisk vil det bli tatt opp emnene som museumsetikk og representasjon av samisk historie på museum, og tilbakeføring av kulturarv, noe som er et veldig aktuelt tema i dagens samfunn.

What is told about Sami cultural heritage in the exhibitions Bååstede and Tråante 2017: "Who owns the history?" How can we interpret them considering ICOM's Code of Ethics? The two exhibitions are both about Sami culture and history. There will be discussions about the return of cultural heritage using specific examples from the two exhibitions already mentioned. In this context, ICOM will also be of use. This text is not in any way be a criticism of the museum or the two exhibitions, but the goal has always been that it is an input from someone who is concerned with the themes cultural heritage and minorities. Theoretically I will talk about the topics such as museum ethics, Sami history, and return of cultural heritage, which is a very topical issue in today’s society.
