En sammenligning av læreplaner i naturfag i Norge og Australia

Abstract

Denne oppgaven går ut på å sammenligne læreplanene i naturfag i Norge og i Australia, med trykk på oppsett og formuleringer av mål i forskerspiren og «science inquiry skills». For å kunne svare på denne problemstillingen, blir det gjort dokumentanalyser av læreplanene. Goodlads læreplannivåer, samt Eisner og Vallance sine tanker om type innhold, kommer godt med under analysen. Det blir også trukket inn bakgrunn for skapelsen av dagens læreplaner. Forskjeller og likheter ved hvordan landene velger å utforme sine respektive læreplaner er vist både ved analyse og drøfting av funn. For å komme fram til de sammenligningene som gjøres er det ikke bare blitt tatt i bruk læreplandokumentene slik de er offentliggjort på internett, det er også tatt med tanker om læreplanene fra artikler og bøker. Oppgaven kommer fram til en del forskjeller, spesielt når det gjelder antall mål, og hvordan målene blir formulert. Den kommer også fram til en forskjell i hvor mye som blir lagt på lærerne ved planlegging av undervisningen. Når det kommer til likheter, kommer det fram at de internasjonale PISA-undersøkelsene kan ha hatt noe å si for begge læreplanene. Mye av det som står i målene går igjen i begge land, men det er ikke helt like mål likevel.

This thesis will compare the science curriculum in Norway and Australia, and will focus on layout and formulations of goals in "forskerspiren" and science inquiry skills. To answer this issue, there will be a document analysis of the curriculum. Goodlads curriculum inquiry levels, and Eisner og Vallances thoughts on type of content, will come in handy during the analysis. There will also be some information about the background for todays curriculum. Differences and similarities with how the countries choose to design their respective curriculum documents is shown with the use of analysis and discussion of findings. To reach the comparisons that is done, there will not only be the use of curriculum documents as they are published on the internet, there will also be thoughts on the curriculum from articles and books. The thesis will come to show quite a few diffenreces, specially regarding the number of goals, og how the goals are formulated. It will also show a difference in how much will be up to the teachers regarding planning the tuitition. When it comes to similarities, it comes to show that the international PISA-tests could have had somthing to do with both curriculums. Much of what is in the goals are found in both countries, but they are not the exact same goals nevertheless.
