Å være i en historisk kontekst

Abstract

Historie og historiebevissthet er et viktig tema i samfunnsfag, både som en grunnleggende tanke og som et eget undervisningstema. Målet med oppgaven er å besvare følgende problemstilling:

Hvordan legger den norske læreboka, Midgard 6, og den zambiske læreboka, Social Studies 6, opp til utvikling av elevenes historiebevissthet? Og hvordan gjenspeiler lærebøkene den norske læreplanen, samt det zambiske rammeverket for utdanning, sine intensjoner om utvikling av historiebevissthet?

Ønsket for oppgaven er å se på hvordan historiebevissthet fremmes i lærebøker, samt læreplaner, men også utfordringer knyttet til dette emnet. Målet er å få en klarere forståelse av hva historiebevissthet er, men også av hvilke utfordringer som er knyttet til det. Videre legges det også fokus på hvordan man kan arbeide med det, og gjøre elevene til reflekterte, historiebevisste borgere.

History and historic consciousness is an important topic in social studies, both as a basic thought and as a separate teaching theme. The goal of this study is to answer the following problem:

How does the Norwegian textbook, Midgard 6, and the Zambian textbook, Social Studies 6, add to the development of the students' historical consciousness? And how do the textbooks reflect the Norwegian curriculum, as well as the Zambian framework for education, their intentions on the development of history consciousness?

The desire for the task is to look at how historical consciousness is promoted in textbooks, as well as curricula, but also challenges related to this topic. The goal is to gain a clearer understanding of what historical consciousness is, but also of what challenges that are associated with it. Furthermore, the focus is on how to work with it, and to make the pupils a reflected, history-conscious citizen.
