Steinerskulen og den offentlege skulen - ei samanlikning med fokus på ideologi, fridom og estetikk

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgåva omhandlar skilnadane mellom Steinerskulen og den offentlege skulen. Problemstillinga er difor:

Kva er dei største skilnadane mellom Steinerskulen og den offentlege skulen?

Metoden eg har nytta for å forske på denne problemstillinga er ei dokumentanalyse, som er ein type kvalitativ metode. Teorien min er ei blanding av læreplanar, bøker og artiklar skrive av folk som har god kjennskap og mykje erfaring i dei to skulane. Gjennom teorien om Rudolf Steiner, Steinerskulen, og den offentlege skulen, har eg definert nokre hypotesar om kva eg synast ser ut til å vere dei største skilnadane mellom dei to skulane: 1. «Den ideologiske forankringa er meir synleg i Steinerskulen enn i den offentlege skulen» 2. «Lærarane i Steinerskulen har større fridom enn lærarane i den offentlege skulen» 3. «Det estetiske er mykje meir i fokus i Steinerskulen enn i den offentlege skulen»

Desse tre hypotesane har eg analysert og drøfta ut frå relevant teori. Overordna fann eg støtte for alle tre hypotesane mine, men eg valte òg å sjå næmare på det estetiske i dei to skulane. Her fann eg ut at den offentlege skulen dei siste tiåra har nedprioritert dei praktiske og estetiske faga i skulen, noko som ikkje ser ut til å ha gode konsekvensar for framtida vår.

This bachelor assignment emphasizes the differences between the Waldorf school (Steinerskulen) and the public school in Norway. Therefore, my thesis question is the following:

What are the biggest differences between the Waldorf school and the public school?

As a method, I have used a document analysis, which is a kind of qualitative method. The theory I have used is a combination of the school’s curriculum, books, and articles written by people who have a lot of knowledge and experience in the schools. Using my theory, I have defined three hypotheses about what I think seems to be the biggest differences of the two schools: 1. “The Waldorf school have a clearer fundamental ideology than the public school” 2. “The teachers in the Waldorf school has more freedom than the teachers in the public school” 3. “In the Waldorf school, the esthetics has a larger focus than in the public school”

Based on relevant theory, I have analyzed and discussed the hypotheses. Overall, I found support for all of them, but I chose to have a closer look at the one about esthetics. Here, I found that during the last decade, the practical and esthetic subjects have been prioritized less than it maybe should, which does not seem to have good consequences for our future.
