Sammenheng i zambiske elevtekster

Abstract

Denne teksta handler om sammenheng gjennom komposisjon og referansekobling i elevtekster. Tekstene som er utgangspunktet for oppgava er multimodale tekster med verbaltekst og bildetekst som er skrevet av elever på en zambisk barneskole. De innsamlede elevtekstene fra praksis brukes som data i oppgava, og tekstene analyseres opp mot temaet gjennom en kvalitativ, og herunder hermeneutisk metode der tolking av meninga med teksta står sentralt. Teoretisk innfallsvinkel er hovedsakelig sosialsemiotisk syn på språk gjennom Maagerø (2005) og Matre (2009) sine tekster. I tillegg trekkes teori om konteksten til tekster, multimodale tekster og komposisjonen i tekster fram. Noen av hovedfunnene fra arbeidet med tekstene er at sammenhengen i tekstene er variert, både i graden av sammenheng og på hvilken måte den skapes. Flere av tekstene har elementer av en komposisjon og sammenheng gjennom hele teksta, andre har sammenheng mellom verbal- og bildetekst innad i hver rute. Flere bruker også referansekobling for å skape sammenheng i tekstene.

This text is about coherence through composition and referential connection words in texts written by students. The texts that are the foundation for this article are multimodal texts with writing and drawings written by students at a primary school in Zambia. The collected student written texts are used as data in this article, and the texts are analysed with the theme of coherence in mind. The research method used to work with the data is a qualitative, and hermeneutic, method where interpretation of the meaning of the text is central. The theory used is primarily a social semiotic view on language, through the texts of Maagerø (2005) and Matre (2009). In addition to that, theory on a text’s context, multimodal texts and composition in a text is used. Some of the main findings from the examination of the texts are that the coherence in the texts varies, both in the degree of coherence and how it is created. Several of the texts have elements of a composition and coherence through the whole text, others have coherence between the writing and drawings in each square. Some also use referential connection words to create coherence in their text.
