Separation efficiencies for a scrubber inlet vane section was investigated using a natural gas hydrocarbon system at 20, 50 and 85 bars. Several design features were investigated such as diameter of inlet pipe, vane design, separator vessel diameter. In addition the effect of liquid rate was examined. The study finds that pipe diameter, column diameter, liquid rate and fluid properties of the inlet vane affect separation efficiencies. This is a result of several different fluid mechanical processes which affect the droplet size distribution into the separation vessel.nb_NO
