In his essay 'Death of the Author', Barthes argued that one should not be based the auteur (author) when one wants to find meaning in art it. How does this match with Busenello and Monteverdi's opera L'incoronazione di Poppea? Is there a basis for starting with these authors when you want to find deeper meaning in the opera? To what extent is Busenello influenced by his membership in Accademia degli Incogniti? Are there any other influences than the operas anteurs, are they equally important to the opera?
