dc.description.abstract | The placement of new wells in a mature field can be very challenging. There may be many drilling hazards present. Drilling into a hazard can cause severe problems. In a cluster of wells and other hazards, it can be difficult to find a good path to a target. This paper proposes and integrated visualization technique for finding safe and rillable areas in a field, given a start position and a set of hazards. As a result, dangerous and unreachable areas are filtered out. In theory, almost any kind of hazard can be used as input. | |
