Behandlingsforsikring i Norge : en logistisk regresjonsanalyse av hva som påvirker norske innbyggere til å ha privat helseforsikring

Abstract

This master's thesis uses multiple logistic regression analysis to examine what affects Norwegian citizens to have private health insurance and what affects some of them to buy private health insurance for their own money. The main findings are that not having higher education but paid work increases the odds of having private health insurance. To vote the conservatives in parliament elections also increases the odds, whilst voting Sosialistisk Venstreparti decreases the odds. Women appear to buy their insurance with their own money on a larger scale than men. To be dissatisfied with the quality of public health care increases the odds of both having private health insurance and buying it oneself.
