dc.description.abstractThis report identifies relevant literature for purchasing and supplier collaboration in the ship-building industry. A framework that relates purchasing strategies to market interaction strategies are proposed and validated by a case study of Ulstein Design and solutions, an innovative Norwegian offshore ship designer. In addition, their purchasing activities and levels of supplier collaboration have been mapped and new purchasing practices focused on modularization and flexible purchasing is proposed.nb_NO
