dc.description.abstract3D seismic survey SG9803 was carried out in 1998 in the south-western Barents Sea. On the basis of 3D seismic data a wildcat well 7222/11-1 in platform area of Loppa High was drilled in 2008. This prospect is called Caurus. The main purpose of the wildcat well 7222/11-1 was to prove hydrocarbon reserves of Triassic age in platform area of Loppa High, and as a result of exploration operations considerable amount of gas and oil shows had been discovered. The main objective of the master thesis is to make 3D seismic interpretation on the basis of SG9803 data volume, evaluate petroleum system and analyse additional interesting features of the area of interest.nb_NO
