dc.description.abstract1.Pipeline material effectThe displacement and force of mid-element pipeline in local horizontal and verticalplane in the elastoplastic pipeline model are larger than that in the elastic model. In the opposite way the bending moment in horizontal plane and vertical plane inelastoplastic pipeline model are smaller than that in the elastic pipeline model2.Towing velocity effectAs to the SIMLA model, it can be seen that both of the horizontal displacementincreases with increasing towing velocity and the horizontal force does not changemuch. The vertical force increases slightly with increasing velocity. All of thebending moment increase slightly with increasing velocity. Both of horizontal andvertical displacement exist large dierence between theory and model results.Thehorizontal force in SIMLA model is larger than that in theory model, which is dueto the drag force included in the SIMLA model.3.Towing angle effectThe horizontal displacement in angle 30 degree model is lager than that in angle 60 degree model while the horizontal force are similar in both angle model. Both the vertical displacementand force in angle 30 degree model are smaller than that in angle 60 degree model. The horizontal ,vertical, and total bending moment in angle 30 degree model are slightly larger than that in angle 60 degree model.4.Anchor equipment effectThe response of all properties of pipeline with two dierent anchor mass behavein the same curve. It means that the anchor mass have no eects on the responseof pipeline. Only the anchor chain breaking force inuence the results at breakingforce of pipeline. The displacement and force in horizontal and vertical planeinmass16100kg model are larger than that in mass12900kg model while the bendingmoment My,Mz,Mt behaviour act in the opposite way.5.The theoretical and SIMLA model results comparisonIn theory part there is no velocity eect included, i.e. the drag force eect isnot considered. Both of horizontal and vertical displacement exist large dierencebetween theory and model results. The horizontal force in SIMLA model is largerthan that in theory model, which is due to the drag force included in the SIMLAmodel. The vertical force in theory model is ten times as that in SIMLA modelwhich is due to dierent span length.nb_NO
