Sykepleie til hiv - positive: på hvilke måte kan sykepleier bidra til et helsetilbud for å fremme psykisk helse hos en hiv - positiv pasient?

Abstract

NORSK: Dette er et litteraturstudie som i sin helhet beskriver hva en sykepleier kan gjøre for å fremme psykisk helse hos den hiv - positive. Dette temaet er valgt fordi det psykiske aspektet av en hiv - diagnose ofte ikke blir satt i et like stort fokus som den somatiske delen av diagnosen. Den psykiske delen av diagnosen blir en viktigere del for sykepleiere å forholde seg til, med tanke på at den hiv - positive lever lenger i dag enn de gjorde før. Ved psykisk uhelse og dårlig oppfølging av etterlevelse, vil det føre til at diagnosen progredierer raskere. Samtidig har det blitt vist i løpet av arbeidet at psykisk uhelse henger sammen med stigmatisering, holdninger og viktigst av alt kunnskap. Det har blitt innhentet vitenskapelige artikler og annen relevant litteratur. Denne litteraturen har blitt kritisk gransket for å kunne besvare vår problemstilling. Vi har tatt for oss ulike faktorer som hemmer og fremmer psykisk helse. For at sykepleier skal kunne fremme psykisk helse, kreves det kunnskap, gode holdninger, kontinuerlig og adekvat oppfølgning. Vi har kommet frem til at kunnskap er nøkkelen til å fremme psykisk helse hos hiv - positive.

ENGLISH: This is a literature study which describes what a nurse can do to promote mental health among the HIV - positive. The mental aspect of an HIV - diagnosis is often not put in an equal focus as the somatic part of the diagnosis. The reason this topic was chosen to show the importance of the nurses role in hiv - care. The mental health part of the diagnosis becomes a more important part for the nurses to deal with, considering that the HIV - positive persons are living longer today than they did before. The combination of mental health problems and poor monitoring of adherence, will lead to the diagnosis progressing faster. It has also been shown in the course of the workprocess that mental health problems is related to stigma, attitudes and most importantly knowledge. It has been gathered scientific articles and other relevant literature. This literature has been critically examined in order to answer our question. We have taken various factors in to concideration that hinder and promote mental health. To promote mental health the nurse have to require knowledge, have positive attitudes, and perform continuous and adequate monitoring. We have reached the conclusion that knowledge is key to promote mental health among HIV - positive.
