dc.description.abstractThis thesis focuses on the global behavior of a chain floating bridge with side moorings attached with plow anchors to the sea bottom. There has also been a general design of a catamaran element with associated load effects. These calculations have been performed with an overall profile of design, as there has not been desire to focus on small details since this has not been the purpose of this project. Large parts of the calculations and analyzes have been conducted with the calculation program SOFiSTiK, a Windows-based element program adapted to bridge design.nb_NO
