This master thesis deal with the development of a wireless lighting application for use with LED lighting. Recent regulations on energy efficiency in light bulbs to cope with climate and energy challenges, have inspired to new solutions in the field of electrical lighting. LED lamps have several advantages over traditional incandescent and fluorescent lamps, such as power consumption, lifetime and functionallity. Related applications have been studied, theoretical basis for the technology. The application have been developed with focus on ease of use and security. Development kit target boards from Texas Instruments is used has hardware platforms for the application, a network of remote controls and lamp receivers. Remote controls can be paired to one or more lamps and vica versa. These units can thus cooperate in small to medium sized networks together with or aside from other units.Tests have shown that the application performs according to specification to high extent for wireless controll of lighting and user friendlyness, though with some challenges remaining with regards to security.nb_NO
