A district heating rig representing a consumer substation is installed in Energy and Indoor Environment laboratory. The substation is an example of indirect connected substation with two-step heating of tap hot water. The district heating rig is proving heat for a radiator, a heating coil, and hot tap water. The rig is well equipped for different types of the studies ranging from energy analysis to system control. Main goal was to suggest different operation scenarios and test them on the rig. Also, to test different control settings. measurements and organize measurements data. Analysing of measurements data was next step in getting results of thesis work. It took two different test in order to verify possible measurements errors and look at the difference in results depending on the hour and date of the test. Analyzing results of these two tests it was possible to identify influence of a poor controller on the enregy use of the heating coil. One conclusion is that because of influence of poor controller, in test 2, higher results for heating effect and higher variations in desired supply temperatures are showned.
