Veiledning og informasjon til stomiopererte barn og ungdommer

Abstract

NORSK: Introduksjon: Bekymringer og engstelse kan oppstå hos barn og ungdommer når de skal innlegges på sykehus for å få stomi. Tidligere forskning viser at informasjon kan bedre den postoperative fasen til barn og ungdommer med stomi. Hensikt: Hensikten er å forstå hva stomiopererte barn, ungdom og deres foreldre anser som viktig i prosessen før og etter operasjon, og hvordan sykepleier ved bruk av tiltak og metoder kan bidra til å skape trygghet i tiden før og etter stomioperasjonen. Metode: Litteraturstudie som bygger på forskningsartikler. Søkeord som “child”, “parents”, “adolescent”, “nurs*” og “ostomy” ble benyttet. Resultat: Funnene viste at stomiopererte barn og ungdom opplevde manglende informasjon i både pre- og postoperativ fase. Konklusjon: Gjennom relevant og tilpasset informasjon og veiledning fra sykepleier, opplever stomiopererte barn, ungdommer og deres foreldre trygghet.

ENGLISH: Introduction: Worries and anxiety can occur to children and adolescents when they are admitted to the hospital to receive a stoma. Previous research shows that providing information before the operation can improve the postoperative phase. Aim: To understand what children, adolescents and their parents need to know before and after a stomasurgery. As well as how nurses, by using measures and methods, can create the feeling of security in the time before and after the surgery. Method: Literature review based on scientific research papers. Keywords like "stoma," "children," "parents", "adolescent", "nurs*" and "ostomy" were used. Results: The findings showed that children and adolescents with a stoma received a lack of information in the time before and after the surgery. Conclusion: Children and adolescents with stoma and their parents, will through relevant and customized information and guidance by nurses experience security.
