motivasjonen. | nb_NO |
dc.description.abstract | ENGLISH: The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to shed light on the factors which affect and makes an influence
on employee’s intrinsic motivation at work. We have chosen to focus on three factors that we believe
are important, and that will be the leader, the work environment and work tasks. We have worked with
DNB call center in Gjøvik, location Thomasdalen. Data that has been used in this assignment has been
retrieved through a quantitative survey sent to all the employees and also some unstructured interviews
with the managers.
We take a look at the different motivation theories in a job perspective where we focus on intrinsic
motivation. We have looked at what role the leader have in the employee’s motivation. Is the leader
only an authoritarian person you have to respond to? Or is it important that the leader is enthusiastic?
Further more, we have looked at to which extent the work environment affect the employee’s
motivation, and that it is important to have good colleagues and to feel safe with them. Finally, yet
importantly, we look at how much the work tasks on its own affects the motivation, and how they alone
can be a source of motivation.
Our conclusion is that all of the three factors does make an important role. If one or two of the factors
are weak or absent it will affect the others to fade. So with this we conclude that all of the three factors
we write about when it comes to intrinsic motivation does make a big impact on the employees
motivation. | |
