Radiografens rolle i møtet med fysisk mishandlede barn. Hvordan tilfredsstille deres behov – en kvalitativ litteraturstudie.

Abstract

NORSK: Hensikt: Øke kompetansenivået vedrørende møtet med barn som har blitt utsatt for fysisk barnemishandling, hos radiografer, studenter og annet helsepersonell. Metode: Vi har benyttet en kvalitativ litteraturstudie som metode. Vi har brukt aktuell litteratur som vitenskapelige artikler og bøker. På grunn av temaet i denne oppgaven har vi hatt muligheten til å bruke både radiograffaglig litteratur og litteratur rettet mot annet helsepersonell. Resultat: Resultatene fra utvalgte artikler benyttet i denne oppgaven, viser at det er mangel på kunnskap og erfaring hos radiografer angående møtet med barn utsatt for fysisk mishandling. Dette er på grunn av for lite opplæring under utdanning og for lite tilrettelegging fra arbeidsplassene. Konklusjon: Vi konkluderer med at radiografer bør møte barn utsatt for fysisk barnemishandling, på en slik måte at barnet føler seg trygg, ivaretatt og respektert.

ENGELSK: Purpose: Increase the competence level of students, radiographers and other health workers regarding the meeting with children that have been exposed to physical child abuse. Method: We have used a qualitative literature study method. We have used relevant literature such as scientific articles and books. Because of the topic in this bachelor thesis we have had the opportunity to use both radiographic literature and literature for other health workers. Result: The scientific articles used in this thesis shows that there is a lack of knowledge and experience among radiographers regarding examination of children exposed to physical child abuse. This is because of insufficient training in school and too little focus on the topic at the hospitals. Conclusion: Our conclusion is that radiographer should meet children exposed to physical child abuse in a way that makes the child feel safe, cared for and respected.
