This interdisciplinary study addresses the co-location of multiple bioenergy facilities for En To Tre Teknikk AS, led by John Helge Vårdal. The facility, planned in Askvoll municipality, Norway, aims to integrate biochar, biogas, and algae production. This complex project requires a multidisciplinary approach for its realization. In this thesis, the fields of construction, energy, and economics are explored. A glazing calculator has been developed, incorporating principles from the Eurocode for the dimensioning of insulated glazing. The material and energy balances of the selected production technologies have been collected and examined. Additionally, potential sources of revenue, expenditures, and necessary investments are listed. The project is analyzed from three perspectives: construction, energy, and sustainability. Figures and models have been created to facilitate understanding of the project. Similar systems to those proposed here have been investigated. It is concluded that the project has significant potential to contribute to achieving several of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, while being innovative in the direction of more efficient bioenergy production, according to the literature review conducted in this thesis.Overall, this work contributes to the foundation for further efforts to realize a facility that co-locates biochar, biogas, and algae production in Norway.
