Bachelor thesis IDG3910 - Implementation of Artificial Intelligence in iSonen
Abstract

SummaryIntroduction: iSonen is an event tool for sports, developed as a collaboration between the Norwegian Sports Confederation (NIF) and Buypass. iSone allows sports clubs to create events, where participants can sign up. The user volume has expanded since the first launch in 2020 and is expected to grow further. Buypass wants to constantly explore new opportunities to improve the iSone and will see how AI can make the experience better for users.
Purpose:The purpose of the task is to explore how AI can improve the experience of users of the iSone, by solving typical problems when using the various tools such as registration, creating and finding events, and designing a prototype based on the insight.
Method:To solve this task, we have utilized the various design methods in the input phase, the definition phase and the development phase. The insight phase uses methods such as literature study, research and interviews. The definition phase uses various processes from the Griffiths University Problem framing canvas, which includes methods such as 5 whys, cynefin, HMW, personas and scenario. Finally in the development phase, we have used methods such as lo-fi, mid-fi and hi-fi sketching to develop a functional prototype based on the findings from the previous phases.
Conclusion:The project resulted in three AI-powered solutions for users to interact with. These solutions are Figma prototypes to represent how they would work in real-life scenarios. These solutions are based on extensive user research of iSonens users who have been the subject of a survey and several in-depth interviews to gather relevant insights from which Buypass could produce suitable solutions.
