This study is part of a project to revise the methodology for bioclimatic building design to improve its usability within cold climate architecture. This paper aims to study the impact that the choice of building performance simulation (BPS) tool and model settings and simplifications can have on our results. We start with a more conventional approach to the BPS analysis of an office building without conventional mechanical systems in a cold/temperate climate, with typical model and simulation settings. Then we move into a more tailored approach, as an attempt to further approximate the reported measurements.en_US
