Sammendrag
I denne studien om bemanning, rekruttering og mannskapsstyring i offshore-sektoren, undersøkes det hvordan Volstad Maritime planlegger og praktiserer kompetansen ved sitt maritime mannskap. Målet med studien er å undersøke hvordan kontorpersonalet ved Volstad sikrer tilstrekkelig kompetanse under bemanningen av deres fartøy. Studien benytter intervjuer, observasjoner og en analyse for å undersøke selskapets tilnærming gjeldende kompetanse, rekruttering, bemanning, utdanning, opplæring og sertifisering ved sitt mannskap. Selskapets kompetansebehov undersøkes og fremheves av dem som en samling av formell, uformell og sosial kompetanse.
Resultatene av analysen viser til at selskapets rekrutteringsprosess er nøye utviklet og spesialisert for å treffe deres behov. Mulige forbedringsalternativer, som diversifisering av rekrutteringskanaler og videre teknologiske implementeringer for optimalisering blir belyst som fremtidige utarbeidings alternativ. Sikkerhet og effektivitet blir grundig diskutert og ytterlige tiltak som kontinuerlig opplæring og styrking av den totale sikkerhetskulturen, foreslås for å opprettholde, og muligens forbedre selskapets helhetlige HMS-praksiser og rutiner.
Studien identifiserer fremtidige utfordringer, hvor tilpasning til grønn teknologi, teknologisk utvikling og nødvendigheten for en fleksibel driftsmodell belyses. For å møte disse utfordringene, foreslås det noen strategiske tiltak som eksempelvis proaktiv investering i digital kompetanse, samt forskning, investering og utvikling av bærekraftige teknologier. In this study on staffing, recruitment and crew management in the offshore sector, it is examined how Volstad Maritime plans and practices the competence of its maritime crew. The aim of the study is to investigate how the office staff at Volstad ensure sufficient competence when manning their vessels. The study uses interviews, observations and an analysis to examine the company's approach to current competence, recruitment, staffing, education, training and certification of its crew. The company's competence needs are examined and highlighted by them as a collection of formal, informal and social competence.
The results of the analysis show that the company's recruitment process is carefully developed and specialized to meet their needs. Possible improvement options, such as diversification of recruitment channels and further technological implementations for optimization are highlighted as future improvement options. Safety and efficiency are thoroughly discussed and additional measures such as continuous training and strengthening of the overall safety culture are proposed to maintain and possibly improve the company's overall HSE-practices and routines.
The study identifies future challenges, where adaptation to green technology, technological development and the necessity for a flexible operation model are highlighted. In order to meet these challenges, some strategic measures are proposed, such as a proactive investment in digital competence, as well as research, investment and development of sustainable technologies.
