The impact of the European Union Emissions Trading System on Short Sea Shipping Companies

Abstract

I min avhandling, "Virkningen av EU's utslippshandelssystem på kystnære rederier," sikter jeg til å belyse de regulatoriske utfordringene som kystnære rederier står overfor, med fokus på Fjord Shipping. Dette arbeidet undersøker konsekvensene av EU's utslippshandelssystem (EU ETS) på disse selskapene. Ved å bruke kvalitative forskningsmetoder, inkludert intervjuer og dokumentanalyse, går jeg i dybden på Fjord Shippings strategiske svar gjennom en detaljert SWOT- og TOWS-analyse. Avhandlingen søker å belyse krysningspunktet mellom miljøreguleringer og maritim industri, og tilbyr perspektiver på balansen mellom økologiske plikter og økonomiske realiteter.
