Abstract

Tittel: Hvilken effekt har stor grad av brukermedvirkning på ROP-pasienters recoveryprosess, og hvordan kan vernepleieren bidra til dette? Introduksjon/bakgrunn: Det har vært en økende erkjennelse av samtidige rus- og psykiske lidelser de siste årene, og behandlingen har til tider vært mangelfull. På bakgrunn av dette er det blitt utviklet en nasjonal retningslinje for behandling av denne pasientgruppen. Der belyses viktigheten av brukermedvirkning, som er en sentral del i recovery. Hensikt: Hensikten med oppgaven er å redegjøre for hvordan vernepleieren kan bidra til økt brukermedvirkning, samt vise viktigheten av tilrettelegging av reell brukermedvirkning, samt vise hvilken effekt det kan ha på ROP-pasienters recoveryprosess. Metode: Denne oppgaven benytter litteraturstudie som metode, hvorav det er brukt fem fagfellevurderte forskningsartikler i tillegg til annen relevant litteratur. Resultat: Ut fra de fem inkluderte forskningsartiklene ble det identifisert to hovedfunn som omhandlet effekten av brukermedvirkning. Disse to hovedfunnene ble delt opp i samhandling og viktigheten av relasjoner. Konklusjon: Tilrettelegging og fokus på ivaretakelse av brukermedvirkning anses som svært viktig for tjenestemottakerne og deres recoveryprosess. Dersom brukermedvirkningen blir ivaretatt på en tilfredsstillende måte kan dette øke livskvaliteten og bidra til trygghet og tillit mellom både tjenestemottakere, pårørende og tjenesteytere. Title: What effect does a high degree of user involvement have on patients with substance abuse disorders and mental illness and their recovery process, and how can the social worker influence this? Introduction/background: Over the last years there have been an increase in number of people who suffer from drug and mental disorders, and the treatment has been inadequate. Because of this there has been developed a national guideline for the treatment of these patients. It shows the importance of user participation, which is a characteristic of the recovery process. Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to explain how social workers can contribute to increase user participation, and also highlight the importance of facilitating user involvement, as well as show the effect it can have on patients with substance abuse disorders and mental illness and their recovery process. Method: For this assignment, there has been used literature studies as a method. There were included five research papers that have been analyzed, but also other relevant literature in a smaller scale. Result: Based on the five included peer reviewed articles, there were identified two main results that were about the effect of user participation. These two main findings were cooperation and the importance of relationships. Conclusion: Facilitation and focus on safeguarding user participation is considered very important for the patients and their recovery process. If user participation is taken care of in a satisfactory way, this can increase the quality of life, contribute to a feeling of security and trust between both the patients, relatives and the professionals.
