Er det lønnsomt å opprette en flybuss rute mellom Gjøvik og Gardermoen?

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven har flybuss mellom Gjøvik og Gardermoen som tema. Formålet med denne oppgaven er å belyse et relevant, aktuelt og diskutert tema i Gjøvik regionen. Oppgaven baseres på intervju gjort med en informant som har kjørt flybuss i regionen tidligere, en kvantitativ spørreundersøkelse publisert i Oppland Arbeiderblad og reisevaneundersøkelser fra Avinor.

Teorien som brukes i oppgaven er basert på transportøkonomi og ruteplanlegging, samt grunnleggende bedriftsøkonomi og mikroøkonomi. I metodedelen av oppgaven er det valgt både en kvantitativ og kvalitativ tilnærming på oppgaven, da dette ville gi en dypere forståelse av flybuss temaet i Gjøvik regionen. Analysen går dypere inn i informasjonen og dataen som er innhentet og bruker dette til å se på lønnsomheten ved å opprette en flybussrute mellom Gjøvik og Gardermoen. Oppgaven presenter tre ulike rutealternativer, samt konkurrerende tilbud til en flybussrute.

Oppgaven drøfter ulike faktorer som kan ha noe å si for lønnsomheten til flybussen. Funnene i oppgaven tilsier at en rute langs Fv.33 ikke er lønnsom, mens Rv.4 og kombinasjonsruten Rv.4 og Fv.33 er lønnsom om visse forutsetninger er oppfylt. Oppgaven drøfter til slutt tips til videre forskning en eventuell aktør som vil se på muligheten for å opprette en flybuss mellom Gjøvik og Gardermoen burde gjennomføre.

This bachelor thesis has an airport express coach between Gjøvik and Gardermoen as its theme. The purpose of this thesis is to shed light on a relevant, current, and discussed topic in the Gjøvik region. The data for this thesis has been collected through an interview with an informant who has managed an airport express coach in the region in the past, a quantitative survey published in Oppland Arbeiderblad and travel habits survey by Avinor.

The theory used in the thesis is based on transport economics and public transport planning, as well as basic business economics and microeconomics. In the method part of the thesis, both a quantitative and qualitative approach to the thesis has been chosen, as this would give a deeper understanding of the topic of airport express coach in the region. The analysis goes deeper into the information that has been obtained and uses this to look at the profitability of establishing an airport express coach between Gjøvik and Gardermoen. The assignment presents three different route alternatives, as well as competing alternatives to an airport express coach.

The assignment discusses various factors that may influence the profitability of the airport express coach. The findings in the thesis indicate that a route along Fv.33 is not profitable, while Rv.4 and the combination route Rv.4 and Fv.33 are profitable, if certain conditions are met. Lastly, the assignment discusses tips regarding further research for a company who wants to look at the possibility of establishing an airport express coach between Gjøvik and Gardermoen.
