Hvilke konsekvenser kan foreldrenes mobilbruk føre til overfor småbarns utvikling?

Abstract

Dagens bruk av teknologi har hatt en betraktelig økning de siste årene. Bruk av mobiltelefon har særlig utviklet seg til å bli en integrert del av vår hverdag. Dette medfører både positive og negative konsekvenser. Mobiltelefonen bidrar til at innovative løsninger sparer oss for både ressurser og arbeidskraft. I tillegg har det blitt lettere å kommunisere med hverandre. Likevel viser forskning at bruk av mobiltelefonen fører til mindre interaksjoner mellom mennesker. En konsekvens som potensielt kan være skadelig for barns utvikling. Formålet med denne studien blir dermed å belyse hvilke konsekvenser foreldres mobiltelefonbruk kan ha overfor småbarns utvikling. Oppgaven vil ta for seg relevant teori og forskning på tema. Deretter vil det setter i sammenheng med mobiltelefonbruk for å illustrere risikoen for begrenset emosjonell, kognitiv og sosiale stimuli hos barnet. Videre blir det redegjort for hvordan barnevernspedagogen har en sentral rolle. Til slutt nevnes mulig forebygging av problematikken.

Today's use of technology has experienced a significant increase in recent years. Mobile phone use in particular, has developed to become an integral part of our everyday life, which entails both positive and negative aspects. The mobile phone contributes both to innovative solutions saving resources and manpower and has made it easier to communicate across the globe. However, research shows that the increase in mobile phone use leads to less interaction between people, a consequence that can potentially be harmful to children's development. The aim of this study is to investigate the possible consequences that parental mobile phone use can have on the development of young children. The assignment will review relevant theory and research on the topic, and then connect it to mobile phone use to illustrate the risk of limited emotional, cognitive, and social stimulation in children. Furthermore, it will discuss the significant role of child welfare educators in addressing this issue, followed by a discussion og possible preventative measures.
