Vold i nære relasjoner

Abstract

Målet for denne oppgaven har vært å finne ut av hva risiko- og beskyttelsesfaktorer er for barn som har opplevd vold i nære relasjoner, og hvilke konsekvenser dette kan få for barnet.

I teoridelen legger jeg frem teoretiske perspektiver og litteratur om vold, vold i nære relasjoner, traumer, tilknytning og Bronfenbrenners bioøkologiske modell. Oppgaven er forankret i sosialt arbeid og belyser temaet fra et barneperspektiv. Oppgaven viser at vold mot barn i nære relasjoner er et alvorlig problem, og det er derfor viktig å vite hva som kan være risiko- og beskyttelsesfaktorer for barn som opplever dette, samtidig vite hvilke konsekvenser dette kan få for barnet.

I oppgaven er det benyttet metodetriangulering gjennom litteraturstudie. Det ble gjort litteratursøk for å finne vitenskapelige forskningsartikler. Disse artiklene er både kvantitative og kvalitative, og inneholder forskning som skal svare på problemstillingen.

Ut fra funnene fra de vitenskapelige forskningsartiklene, ser man at mange barn opplever vold i nære relasjoner. Vold og traumatiske opplevelser i barndommen øker risikoen for alvorlige konsekvenser og traumatisering. Barns erfaringer påvirker barnets arbeidsmodeller og vil legge føringer for oppfatningen man har til verden, andre og seg selv. Jeg ser på ulike risiko- og beskyttelsesfaktorer barn, som opplever vold i nære relasjoner kan oppleve, og hvilke konsekvenser volden kan ha . Alle mennesker opplever risikofaktorer i løpet av livet. Miljøet man befinner seg i kan ha beskyttende faktorer for hvordan barnet opplever situasjonen. Avslutningsvis i oppgaven vil jeg presentere hva jeg har funnet ut av.

In this thesis I will discuss the topic children experiencing maltreatment. I will be examining different risk and protective factors for children who have experienced maltreatment from a caregiver and look at the consequences this may have for the children.

In the theoretical part, I present theoretical perspectives and literature on violence, children experiencing maltreatment, trauma, attachment and Bronfenbrenner's bioecological model. The thesis is rooted in social work and clarify the topic from a children's perspective. The thesis shows that children experiencing maltreatment is a serious problem, and therefore it is important to know what risk factors and protective factors for children who experience this may be and at the same time have knowledge about what consequences this can entail.

This is a modified literature review which a systematic search has been used to find scientific research articles. The articles used are both quantitative and qualitative and contain research that will help answering the research question.

Based on the findings from the scientific research articles we can tell children experience maltreatment from a caregiver is a problem. Being exposed to violence and traumatic experiences in childhood will increase the risk of serious consequences and trauma. Children experiencing maltreatment will influence childrens internal working models and will affect the perception of the universe, other people and itself. I look at different risk and protective factors children who experience maltreatment may have and what consequences it can have. Everyone experiences risk factors during their lifetime. The environment they are in may have protective factors that will help how the child experiences the situation. At the end of the thesis, I will present the results.
