The article carries out a quantitative analysis of newspaper articles related to the results from the Nordic combined race in the first Winter Olympics in Chamonix. The article examines newspapers considering their political affiliation. It tries to find answers to whether there was a link between political affiliation and interest in reporting on the Nordic combined results, in addition to investigating whether articles with nationalist tendencies had a higher density in certain parties' newspapers. It attempts to map the connection between sport, politics and nationalism in Norway in 1924.
