Effekten av lakseoppdrett i kommuner på globaliseringsvennlige partier

Abstract

Det overordnede temaet for denne studien vil være hvilken effekter globalisering har på stemmeatferd. For å spisse det ned skal det fokuseres på hva effekten av lakseoppdrett i en kommune er på oppslutningen til globaliseringsvennlige partier. Fokuset her blir å være på vinnerne av globalisering. For å besvare problemstillingen benyttes tre two-way fixed effects modeller med en difference in difference estimator. En slik modell gjør det mulig å finne kausalitet på en effektiv måte. Teorien som benyttes er rational choice. Funnene indikerer at det er kausalitet mellom lakseoppdrett i en kommune og partier som er vennlig innstilt til globalisering.

The theme of this study will be the effects of globalization on voting behavior. To aim it down, the focus will be on what the effect of salmon farming in a municipality is on the support for globalization-friendly parties. The focus here will be on being the winners of globalization. To answer the problem, three two-way fixed effects models with a difference in difference estimator are used. Such a model makes it possible to find causality in an efficient way. The theory used is rational choice. The findings indicate that there is causality between salmon farming in a municipality and parties that are friendly to globalization.
