Kulturminneverdier og utbygging på Gløshaugen; en analyse av hovedbygningens kulturminneverdier i møte med campussamlingen

Abstract

Denne oppgaven forsøker å se på kulturminneverdier ved hovedbygningen på Gløshaugen, og endringene av disse i møte med campussamlingen. Den tar for seg teorier fra kulturminneforvaltningen om kulturminneverdier, autentisitet og restaurering. Videre ser teksten på byggets historiske kontekst, hvilke kulturminneverdier man kan tillegge det samt de foreslåtte endringene på bygget. Oppgaven har undersøkt dokumenter fra Statsbygg, NTNU, Trøndelag fylkeskommune og Trondheim kommune, hvor formålet har vært å se på hvordan kulturminneverdiene kommer til å endres, hvor inngripende endringene kommer til å bli og hvorvidt dette en en negativ eller positiv utvikling sett fra en kulturminneforvaltnings-perspektiv.

This thesis attempts to look at cultural heritage values at "hovedbygningen" at Gløshaugplatået, and the changes in these values brought forth by the coming consolidation of the university. In this thesis you will find a description of various theories regarding cultural heritage values, authenticity and restoration of cultural heritage sites. Furthermore the text looks at the buildings historical context, which cultural heritage values that can be connected to it, in addition to the proposed changes to the building. This text has examined documents released by Statsbygg, NTNU, Trøndelag county municipality and Trondheim municipality, where the purpose is assessing how severe these changes are, how these changes will affect the buildings cultural heritage values, and whether this project could be seen as a negative or positive development as a whole seen from the perspective of cultural heritage management.
