Klætlåna fra hjem til miljøutstilling: En undersøkelse av hvordan Trøndelag Folkemuseum Sverresborg har laget miljøutstillinger i perioden 1975 - 1981 og 2021

Abstract

Oppgaven undersøker hvorfor og hvordan Trøndelag Folkemuseum Sverresborg har bygget sine utstillinger i Klætlåna, og hvordan arbeidet fra 2021 endret oppfatningen av utstillingen. Museet har jobbet med utstillingen i to omganger. Først da huset ble gitt til museet i 1974 og frem til ferdigstillingen av utstillingen i 1981 samt ombyggingen av utstillingen i 2021. I begge utstillingene har huset vært innredet slik det kunne sett ut på 1910-tallet. For perioden 1974 - 1981 er det tilbakeføringen av huset til 1910 som er hovedfokus, mens det i 2021 fokuseres på gjenstandene i utstillingen og de små detaljene. Nøkkelbegreper i denne oppgaven er hjem, atmostfære og restaureringsideologi. For å svare på hvorfor museet har bygget sine utstillinger som de har gjort benytter jeg meg av museets bygningsarkiv samt intervju med ansatte fra museet. Hvorfor museet bygget om utstillingen i 2021 er knyttet til hvordan utstillingen fra 1981 ble oppfattet og hvordan museet ønsket at utstillingen skulle oppfattes samt formidles. I arbeidet med utstillingen i 2021 er det gjort lite med møblene som allerede sto der. Fokuset lå heller på hva som har manglet for at utstillingen ikke skulle føles tom. Resultatet ble en miljøutstilling som føles ekte, hjemlig og autentisk.

The thesis examines why and how Trøndelag Folkemuseum Sverresborg has built its exhibitions in Klætlåna, and how the work from 2021 changed the perception of the exhibition. The museum has worked on the exhibition in two rounds. First when the house was given to the museum in 1974 and until the completion of the exhibition in 1981, and the rebuilding of the exhibition in 2021. In both exhibitions, the house has been decorated as it could look like in the 1910s. For the period 1974 - 1981, the return of the house to the 1910 is the main focus, while in 2021 the focus is on the objects in the exhibition and the small details. Key concepts in this thesis are home, atmosphere and restoration ideology. To answer why the museum has built its exhibitions as they have done, I use the museum's building archive as well as interviews with employees from the museum. Why the museum rebuilt the exhibition in 2021 is related to how the exhibition from 1981 was perceived and how the museum wanted the exhibition to be perceived and communicate. In the work on the exhibition in 2021, little has been done with the furniture that was already there. The focus was rather on what was missing so that the exhibition would not feel empty. The result was an exhibition that feels real, homely and authentic.
