| dc.description.abstract | Bygg- og anleggsbransjen står for 40% av verdens klimagassutslipp og det er derfor viktig at næringen aktivt går inn for å redusere utslipp og energiforbruk. Bygningssektoren har et stort potensial for energibesparing. Atferdsendringer sammen med bevisstgjøring vil ha stor effekt på reduksjon av energiforbruket. En måte byggsektoren kan bidra til dette på, er å velge og prosjektere bygninger etter miljøsertifiseringen BREEAM-NOR. Dette er den norske versjonen av den internasjonale BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Method). Miljøsertifiseringen fremmer bærekraftige egenskaper i bygninger. Den norske versjonen utarbeides av Grønn Byggallianse.
Sertifiseringen gir en bekreftelse på at bygget består av bærekraftige valg og kvaliteter. Prosjekter blir vurdert opp mot emner i ni kategorier, i tillegg til en innovasjonskategori. Temaer som blir vurdert er: ledelse, helse og innemiljø, energi, transport, vann, materialer, avfall, arealbruk og økologi og forurensning. Det oppnås poeng innad i de forskjellige kategoriene og totalsummen resulterer i en sertifiseringsgrad. Gradene som kan oppnås er «Pass», «Good», «Very Good», «Excellent» og «Outstanding». Den 28. februar 2022 kom Grønn Byggallianse med en oppdatert versjon av BREEAM-NOR 2016 manualen. Denne heter BREEAM-NOOR v6.0, og inneholder omfattende endringer sammenliknet med den foregående.
Denne bacheloroppgaven er utarbeidet i samarbeid med HRP AS, og skal å gi en oversikt over endringer fra den tidligere BREEAM-NOR 2016 manualen til den ny utgitte BREEAM-NOR v6.0 manualen. Oppgaven tar for seg endringene av generelle temaer som endring av vekting, minstekrav, stegkrav og EU-taksonomi for bærekraftig finans. Videre går den inn på de viktigste endringene innad forskjellige emner i hver kategori. I tillegg er det gjort en sammenlikning av to prosjekter opp mot den nye manualen. Prosjektene har tidligere blitt sertifisert som «Very Good» med den tidligere manualen.
Resultatet av oppgaven er en oversikt over de viktigste endringene i den nye BREEAM-NOR v6.0 manualen, og hvilken effekt de ulike endringene vil ha på fremtidige BREEAM-NOR sertifiseringsprosjekter. Dette vil forhåpentligvis gjøre at planleggingen og prosjekteringen av et slikt prosjekt vil bli mer oversiktlig og man oppnår sertifiseringen man ønsker. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The building- and construction industry is responsible for 40% of today’s world greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, it is important that this specific industry actively takes action to reduce the emissions- and energy consumption. The construction sector has a great potential for energy savings, and behavioral changes in addition to raise awareness about the topic, can have a major effect on reducing energy consumption. One measure that the industry can contribute with, is by choosing to design the project according to the environmental certification BREEAM-NOR manual, which is the Norwegian version of the international BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) manual. The certification emphasizes sustainable properties in construction- and design phase. The Norwegian version of the manual is developed by the Norwegian Green Building Council.
The certification indicates that the building contains sustainable choices and qualities. Projects are assessed against requirements in nine categories, in addition to an innovation category. Topics that are included in the manual are management, health and wellbeing, energy, transport, water, materials, waste, land use and ecology and pollution. Points are obtained within the various categories and the total sum results in a specific certification degree. The certification degrees that can be achieved are «Pass», «Good», «Very Good», «Excellent» and «Outstanding». On the 28th of February 2022, the Norwegian Green Building Council introduced a new and updated version of the BREEAM-NOR 2016 manual. This version is called BREEAM-NOR v6.0 and contains major changes from the previous manual.
This bachelor thesis has been developed in collaboration with HRP AS, and it will provide an overview of the most important changes from the previous BREEAM-NOR 2016 manual to the newly published BREEAM-NOR v6.0 manual. The thesis addresses the changes in the general topics, such as changes in weightings, minimum standards, step-related requirements, and EU taxonomy for sustainable finance. Then, it addresses the most important changes in different topics in each category. In addition, there will be a comparison of two projects, that were certified with the 2016 manual, up against the new manual. The projects have previously been certified as “Very Good”- projects. Finally, the thesis wants to illuminate on the effects these changes will have on future certification projects.
The result of the thesis is an overview of the most important changes in the new BREEAM-NOR v6.0 manual, and what effects the various changes will have on future BREEAM-NOR certification projects. This will hopefully make the planning and execution of a project that want to environmentally certified, more transparent to carry out. | |
