Alkoholismens påvirkning på omsorgsutøvelsen

Abstract

Temaet som belyses i denne bacheloroppgaven er alkoholisme, med problemstillingen «Hvordan kan alkoholisme påvirke forelderens omsorgsutøvelse?». Hvordan får alkoholen konsekvenser for forelderen, hvilke utfordringer kan dette få for deres utøvelse av omsorgsansvaret de har overfor sine barn, og hvilke konsekvenser kan dette få for barnet?

Alkoholisme påvirker både den som drikker alkoholen, i tillegg til familiesystemene vedkommende er en del av. Konsekvensene av alkoholisme er omfattende og komplekse, og det vil være vesentlig at barnevernspedagogen har kunnskap om temaet, da dette ofte er et område man kan møte i arbeidet. Alkoholismens utfordringer drøftes ved å se på både risikofaktorer og beskyttelsesfaktorer barnet kan oppleve i en slik hjemmesituasjon, og hvordan barnets fremtid kan påvirkes av opplevelsene fra forelderens alkoholisme. Bacheloroppgaven tar utgangspunkt i en litteraturstudie. Det har blitt gjennomført litteratursøk og funnet relevant teori og forskning for å presentere sentrale temaer ved min problemstilling.

The topic highlighted in this bachelor thesis is alcoholism, with the issue: «How can alcoholism affect the parent's exercise of care?». How does alcohol have consequences for the parent, what challenges can this have for their responsibility to exercise care toward their children, and what consequences can this have for the child?

Alcoholism affects both the person consuming the alcohol, in addition to the family systems he or she takes part in. The consequences of alcoholism are comprehensive and complex, and it will be crucial for the child welfare educator to possess knowledge on the matter, as this often is a subject one can expect to encounter in the workplace. The challenges of alcoholism are being discussed by looking at both risk factors and protective factors the child may experience in such a home situation, and how the child's future can be affected by the experiences made from the parent's alcoholism. The bachelor thesis is based on a literature study. A literature search has been carried out and relevant theory and research have been found to present key themes of my issue.
